"Ueshima Coffee Lounge establishes a new branding position in a maturing café market. To differentiate itself, the company needed to stay true to its traditional values — promoting its heritage as Japan’s first and finest coffee house.
The interiors were designed in a sophisticated, comfortable style, inviting customers to leisurely enjoy their coffee or to dine from a full-course menu. The food menu was designed and developed to serve original top quality dishes. UCC’s first store overseas opened in Taiwan in December 2010.
Driving the Ueshima brand expansion is the concept of reinventing “Kissa Culture” ̶ the Japanese original café style."
